Koi Care Malachite from NT Labs is an effective treatment for external parasite and fungus infections in Koi fish. When used together with formaldehyde it's activity is enhanced which means that less malachite needs to be used. The 250ml solution will treat 20,000 litres of pond water.

External parasites such as whitespot, Trichodina, Costia, Chilodonella and Epistylis are frequent troublemakers in the fishpond – all of which can be treated by NT Labs Koi Care Malachite Green 250ml. They live in the mucous layer of the fish and cause intense irritation as they graze on the skin cells. Infection can be recognized as the fish secrete excess mucus, thus giving them a grey slimy appearance. In white spot infection, as the name suggests, the parasite forms small white spots that resemble table salt crystals over the surface of the fish. All these parasites cause intense irritation to the fish causing them to scratch against sedentary objects in the pond, flick and thrash around and even jump out of the water, as they attempt to scratch the irritation.
