Eheim Substrat Pro is an optimized bio-filter medium which helps to achieve clear, healthy water conditions by providing intensive colonization of the important purification bacteria needed for converting important substances in your aquarium. The 250ml pack of biological filter media consists of pearl-shaped sintered glass. The unique spherical shape of the beads give a high bulk density allowing for full utilization after the first mechanical cleaning process is completed (e.g. EHEIM MECH or MECHpro).

Eheim Substrat Pro works by reducing peak nitrate loads with ease and in turn, increasing maintenance intervals - thus reducing the time needing to be spent on keeping the water conditions clean manually. 

Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, Eheim Substrat Pro can be washed and re-used, but it should be noted that cleaning and changing of media should never be done together as this will reduce the entire bacteria culture.
