The Juwel Rio 450 in black is a stunning addition to any home and comes complete with filtration, lighting and plenty of storage space within its specially designed cabinet. The Rio 450 is perfect for both fresh and saltwater set ups and holds 450 litres of water. For saltwater aquariums, adding a Juwel protein skimmer to the system ensures optimum conditions for salt water species.  Complete with the latest new style cabinet with no overhang, push close doors and two door opening.

The Juwel Rio 450's filtration is the Juwel Bioflow 8.0 / Bioflow X Large, Jumbo filter, housing an Eccoflo 1000 LPH Pump. This also contains Coarse Sponge, Fine Sponge, Nitrax, Carbon Sponge and Polly Pads to ensure the very best water quality. The filter measures a slim 15.5 cm x 10.2cm x 41.7cm. The filter is also where the 300w heater is located, in a uniquely designed area so there is no unsightly heater in view. 

The Juwel Rio 450 now comes with super efficient LED lighting which goes by the name of MultiLux LED's. The innovation has been integrated into the existing tank and cabinet to provide the hobbyist  with all the benefits of  energy saving and excellent light penetration, all rolled into one neat and compact design. Juwel's MultiLux LED lighting is cost effective and uses some of the brand's cutting edge technology to provide more than adequate lighting levels for plants, fish and corals. The lighting producing less heat inside the tank, creating no impact on the aquarium itself. Compact and easy to adjust, Juwel MultiLux can be positioned at a convenient spot in your tank so as to allow for routine maintenance and water changes. The innovative LED lighting also brings a beautiful shimmer to the Juwel Rio 450 tank, allowing you to enjoy stunning visual effects whilst safe in the knowledge that all tank inhabitants are getting the lighting levels they require for full and healthy, natural growth. What's more, Juwel's MultiLux LED lighting bulbs are also replaceable, meaning you don't even have to invest  in a whole new lighting unit should the bulbs age in their performance many years down the line. 

The Juwel Rio 450 can be upgraded to be supplied with the Marine LED Multilux lighting as a special order.  For an additional £80 (difference between fresh and marine LED).  Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks approx for delivery.  Once you have placed your order, please email or call us to arrange to pay the difference for the marine lighting special order (payment can be made over the phone or via payment link through email).
