Caribsea Eco-Planted is a specially made planted aquarium substrate rich in basaltic volcanic soil which contains iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulphur plus over 25 other elements essential for plant growth. FloraSpore symbionts activate the root-substrate to facilitate the uptake of minerals which makes for a healthier root system and in return a healthier plant and it is also iron rich which means there is no need for laterite. No artificial dyes, paints, or chemical coatings are used on Eco-Planted.

Eco-Planted has highly porous spherical grains for optimum diffusion performance and contains live Heterotrophic bacteria to rapidly convert fish waste into natural food for your aquatic plants. It establishes a natural biological balance which makes cycling a new aquarium faster and safer
