Eheim Pre-filter

The Eheim Pre-filter can be paired with all Eheim external filters to add an additional level of filtration, perfect for catching coarse debris before it reaches the main filter. Sitting on the bottom of your tank at the base of your inlet hose, this pre-filter has a round design with continual inlets, allowing water to be drawn in from all sides. The modular baskets can be packed full of filter media, with quick release clips allowing them to be removed for easy cleaning. Removing the need for the external filter to remove these larger dirt particles allows for a much longer biological decomposition phase, and lengthens the time needed between service intervals, making the Eheim Pre-filter a great investment to give you more time to enjoy your aquarium.
