The Aqua Valve allows waste materials to pass into the filter, but prevents them from dumping back into the aquarium. Therefore, unlike most other filters on the market, the PF filter range allows the consumer to simply turn the filter off, and remove the body for cleaning, without seeing all the removed waste drop back into their clean aquarium.
