The EcoSmart Upgrade Kit allows you to transform your VorTech MP10 into a VorTech MP10w EcoSmart. The Upgrade gives you the ability to control your pump to give you the perfect tidal effect or you can use the preset modes which each have its own unique purpose.
-Tidal Swell Mode (TSM), reproducing the changing flow conditions found in nature. Over the course of several hours, the flow pattern will shift from an emphasis on chaotic left-to-right flow direction into a right-to-left flow direction, with periods of calm in between – followed by a great surge of flow at the very end of the cycle.
Nutrient Transport mode (NTM), a wave motion to stir up detritus, and a surging motion to move the detritus into your overflow where it can be skimmed out. This mode promotes maximum health and nutrient export, as well as increased growth for sensitive corals such as SPS.
Lagoonal / Reef Crest mode, n random mode, you can toggle between Reef-Crest and Lagoonal modes. When a pump is in Lagoonal Random Mode, use the dial to set the maximum operational speed. The driver will automatically randomize the pumps’ output to simulate either a high (Reef-Crest) or low (Lagoonal) energy reef environment.
Long Pulse Mode, allows wave pulses between 2 and 60 seconds which enables you to alternate long slow flow across the whole tank.
Short Pulse Mode, perfect for creating a standing wave this mode allows fast pluses between 0.3 and two seconds.
Feed Mode, slows the flow right down to allow for easy feeding duration of the feed mode can be set.
Night Mode, operates at a reduced flow continuously for a selected time period.
