BiOrb Air Terrarium in Grey
The BiOrb Air is a complete automated system for creating the perfect tropical micro climate habitat for growing tropical plants and keeping small amphibians. The tank is also great for housing some invertebrates such as dart and tree frogs and even praying mantis shrimps. The stunning design of the tank is versatile, complimenting many interior designs, both modern and traditional.
The stunning Biorb Air is made from strong acrylic. It mimics those conditions normally found under a tropical forest canopy, enabling many species of plants such as orchids to thrive as nature intended.
The BiOrb Air uses a treated sterilized coir compost as the growth media for cultivating plant roots. The Coir compost included in the kit is placed on top of the capillary mat that draws water up to the compost from a small water reservoir in the base. This capillary type mat prevents the roots of the plants from soaking and rotting. Natural daylight is not needed within the innovative terrarium, as the lighting is included with a six LED array at the top of the sphere which emits the perfect light output for encouraging natural growth.
The BiOrb is also integrated with a clever, constantly running silent fan which recycles the air through a carbon filter. This prevents stagnation and condensation within the Biorb Air. The best feature of the BiOrb Air is the ultrasonic mister mounted onto the top water reservoir. The mister generates a swirling water vapor automatically if the humidity drops below 75 percent RH. This maintains the perfect humidity levels within the micro climate of the BiOrb Air.
